Hear from the best and brightest executive speakers how AI is transforming industry
The 6th Wave Of Automation
In this talk Dr. Amr Awadallah will go over what he refers to as the 6th wave of automation, the automation of decisions. Amr will explain what that wave means, the key underlying algorithms for it, then will go over a number of practical examples from the Cloudera customer base that illustrate how that wave is manifesting itself.
Dr. Amr Awadallah is Co-Founder and CTO of Cloudera since it was formed in Oct 2008. Before that he was an Entrepreneur-in-Residence at Accel Partners for about 3-months. Selling AI to your boss
Although Artificial Intelligence is a fancy technology today and everyone outwardly wants an AI, it is not always easy to sell it across organizations for good reasons. Organizations have learnt from past mistakes to be on the watch of “shiny objects syndrome” and have rigorous checks to identify the fit with Corporate objectives and goals. Also not every organization, team or problem needs or is ready for an AI solution. Cognitive Analytics & Artificial Intelligence based solutions require a highly mature analytics program to be effective. The initial investments are significant, the waiting period are significant because of the learning curve and the RoI are not always realized right away. This presentation will cover the Strategy, Execution and Transformation aspects of a successful migration up the Analytics Value chain and pitfalls to watch out for.
As the Director of Analytics & A/B Testing, I am responsible for enabling a Data Driven Decision Making culture via quantifiable impact and actionable insights. The team’s responsibilities span facilitating Strategy, optimizing execution and driving value with the Analytics Value Chain for stakeholders across Product, Marketing and Relationship Management. Critical focus areas are Conversion Rate Optimization, Customer Lifecycle Management and Voice of Customer. A fervent believer in power of data, importance of iterative learning, valuing customer feedback and delivering easy to adopt solutions. Hit me up on value of Big Data, Responsible leadership with Data and Artificial Intelligence applications. AI for Anti-Fraud Solutions
Innovative financial institutions are enhancing existing fraud detection engines with deep learning algorithms that can analyze thousands of complex features across channels and over time and integrating cyber security information. This is leading to significantly higher fraud detection rates and fewer false positives. As fraudsters rapidly evolve their nefarious capabilities and exploit increased financial digitization, banks are realizing that existing analytic techniques based on hand written rules, isolated intuition, light analysis, and manual response are no longer satisfactory.
In this session, we’ll explore how leading banks are using deep learning for better fraud detection and changing business processes to be AI-first based on customer experience. We look at approaches to explaining black-box models and the shift from reactive work for investigators to proactive improvement. We also discuss incremental adoption to AI.

Panel- Designing with AI: A new era of opportunity, challenges and collaborations
Design and Digital marketing with AI: A new era of opportunity and challenges
Data is no longer just the input that informs and measures a consumer’s brand experience; it is increasingly the product, the content, and even the campaign with its own creative identity.
AI and machine learning is transforming vast reams of raw data into a whole new breed of brand engagements and disrupting the way brands are connecting with their consumers. Data now has a face, voice, a look and a language that speaks to consumers in a precise way. For creators, that means the old rules of creativity no longer apply. What does the creative process look like in this new landscape? As brand guardians, how can we win consumers hearts with these innovations? What are the challenges and pitfalls of operationalizing these initiatives?
